AEROBICS

The Step Aerobics Page
This website illustrates basic and advanced step aerobic patterns, which is helpful for those who are teaching step aerobics and need to review basics or to expand to include other patterns. There is also a special section on adaptive aerobics. Some of the illustrations are "animated", which is particularly helpful. A link is provided to other "fitness" websites.

COUNTRY AND WESTERN DANCE

Country Time Dance Lines
This site has a large selections of country line dances with descriptions (about 1300) as well as the "top 50 list" according to these folks from Central Florida. A new section of this site allows you to order hard-to-find CDs. Also, if you're interested in going on a Line Dancing Cruise in your spare time, this is the site for you! :-)
Line Dance Fun
This site offers the latest line dances and histories of new Country Western dances being done in the San Francisco Bay area. Step descriptions are available in .pdf format (which means you need Acrobat Reader to read them). There is also a chat page as well as background information on the choreographers.

When you access this site, click on "clogging" and it will take you to a list of links for a variety of Appalachian Clog dancing webpages.
Tap Dance Homepage
This page is well organized for the person interested in learning/teaching tap. This site provides you with a "How-To" list of basic steps for tap and is a summation of how steps relate and how they are organized. There are nice resources here and a nice glossary of terminology.

Raper's Macarena Dance Corner
This webpage has the "how to's" of dancing the Macarena, as well as other Macarena links (history, lyrics, etc.). Also included is a cute little stick figure with an animated illustration of the dance!

This dance directory is a well-organized directory of a variety of dance types, including ballet, ballroom, Cajun, contra, folk, Irish, jazz, Latin, modern, square, etc.
Leon Raper's Lesson Plans for teaching Social Dances
Raper's website, still under development, currently offers specific lesson plans for teaching the two-step, the waltz, and the West Coast Swing. He also has a list of dance terminology appropriate for student handouts.
CyberDance - Ballet on the Net Links
CyberDance website has an comprehensive listing of over 2000 links to ballet and arts sites on the Web!
Dance Teacher Now
This site is an online adjunct to the popular magazine that offers a collection of information that is useful to educators of dance. Although the website does not offer all the information that is found in the magazine, it does give teachers the Index to dance, lists of all the articles Dance Teacher Now has ever published, an avenue to order individual articles, an outline of the current issue, and a Products and Services page that connects you to dance suppliers.
PE Zone
The PE Zone provides a number of Dance & Rhythm lesson ideas developed by the college students of Dr. Debby Mitchell who teaches as the University of Central Florida.
